Mount Annan Herbarium

The key feature of this project is the unique 4,000m² sprung curved Spandek roof with sprung curved Spandek soffit sheeting that hovers over the rammed earth vaults.

The head of the roof has an interesting finishing detail where no cappings were detailed and instead the roof sheets are stepped to provide an architectural and aesthetically pleasing look, which we haven’t encountered before.

We were hesitant with the architects intent but must say the finished result looks amazing. Axis also installed an additional 3,500m² of Klip-Lok roofing and 500m² of Custom Orb wall cladding. Finishing flashing work is amazing.
